with a perfectly shaped handle made heavy by the fact that the steel runs the entire length and breadth of it

Tall Wooden Arm and Hand (Mold?) wooden foot or soon will beI'm guessing this was probably made as a mold, but I'm not completely sure. While fairly crudely done, I like it as a gesture of a raised hand, as if saying "I know the answer" and forever waiting to be called upon! 17 1 4" t x 6 1 2" w x 3 1 8" d (at base). Very good condition, pine I believe, with some darkening to the wood near the end of the arm.
